Step by step

Step by step is a beginner’s level Icelandic course for students who need to study at a slower pace with emphasis on learning by listening, conversing, using repetition and visual material.

This is suitable for students whose mother tongue is very different from Icelandic or those who have had little formal education.

Even illiterate students would benefit from this approach. The course suits people who find regular courses too difficult and need to go slower through the material.

Please note that we have regular groups in level 1 Icelandic for students who prefer studying Icelandic through any of these languages:

Arabic, Kurdish, Farsi, Russian/Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Polish, Spanish/Portuguese, Vietnamese, Thai.
