About the course 

Customer service in tourism and icelandic in service professions

A practical course of 79 hours where you strengthen your skills to be able to provide outstanding service to a diverse group of customers and deal with challenges that come up. You also learn job related Icelandic to be able to give basic service in Icelandic.

Course content:

• Knowledge of the working environment in tourism industry
• Use of IT at work
• Work processes and their importance
• Communication and multicultural skills
• Appearance and service
• Work-related Icelandic at level 1

Study evaluation is based on attendance and participation in class. Attendance is required. No final test.

The course is a total of 79 hours and is taught in English.   

Who can apply? 

• This course is for people over 18 years of age and is taught according to the curriculum published by the Education and Training Service Centre and attested by the Directorate of Education..
