About the course

Course for doormen is in collaboration with the City of Reykjavik and the Reykjavik Metropolitan Police. The course is intended for employed doormen and those who intend to work in the field. This course also fits the staff of hotels and restaurants that work night shifts. The course is work-related and is intended to promote participants in work.

• Fire safety

• First aid

• Introduction to the sexual assault center

• Multicultural studies

• Self-defence

Doorman license

Application form is online..  

The licence is valid for three years.

In addition to the course you will need to meet these requirements:

• Be at least 20 years old

• A criminal record clear from drug or violence convictions for the last five years

Course fee

The course fee is 74.800 íkr. Applicants may be able to get a refund from their union.
